I’m just like you. I wanted the online riches everyone promised, the lifestyle, and the end of the daily grind. I even dreamed of the big houses, fast cars and… But it all went wrong. Now I realise that everything I was told about website promotion was wrong.
I admit it. I fell for the scams – I even walked straight into that biggest of all cons – the instant traffic. It looked so inviting, so reassuring, all I had to do was buy 500,000 visitors and my dreams could come true - except it turned into a nightmare. I sat with baited breath waiting for the crowds to arrive. No-one came, no-one signed up for my newsletter, no-one spent their cash.
I thought I’d done something wrong and tried again. Yes I was that dumb but I’d been assured this was all I needed. I remember the formula to this day. Website + Product + Traffic = $$$$. It failed again. I was embarrassed that I’d been conned and nearly gave up.
This is the biggest frustration that anyone trying to make money online faces – getting real traffic to your site.
Traffic is critical and the cause of more frustration than anything else. With traffic, real visitors to your site you can get signups to a list, get essential feedback and make sales. Eventually, you may even get that yacht, sports car or mansion that has always filled your dreams. It’s that dream and the promise of online wealth that drives you on to try it just one more time. Then, yet again we suffer more frustration, more failure.
This is because without meaningful, targeted website traffic you are dead in the water, doomed to either become another website failure statistic or victim to another scam.
